You don't need a new year, new month, or some other pivotal moment in time to begin again. You can do it at any time, in any place.
You don't need to announce it, or punish yourself when you fall short.
You can treat yourself with the grace and understanding that failing is part of our human experience.
Because honestly, whatever it is you are seeking to change, it will only happen when the timing is right, and when you are ready. All the forcing and all the structure in the world cannot push us past, over, or through where we are meant to be.
The practice asks us to begin, again, and again, and again. When we devote ourselves fully to our practice we can learn to begin over and over, no matter what might meet us there. If we can re-arrive in the moment, we have found the power to start over.
Beginning again itself is a practice. In yoga, and in life.
It humbles us and asks us to realign with our deeper knowing.
Want to start over?
Take a deep breath in.
Let a deep breath out.
And there - you just did it.
You can be a steadfast practitioner of beginning again - any time, any place.
If you have another breath - you have the power to begin, again.
